the sheer beauty? There is a legend
that came from the Native American Indians
that tells of whispering your wishes to a
butterfly and then releasing the butterfly
to carry your wishes to the Great Spirit.
In return for granting the butterfly its
freedom, the Great Spirit will grant your
wishes. You can release one butterfly
for each of your wishes. This ‘wish’ on
a butterfly translates well to many types of
events.

person in the wedding party makes a wish to
the butterfly. The couple can release one
butterfly for each of their wedding vows, or
during the reception they can call out their
wishes for a happy life together and release
the butterflies during this time, either one
for each wish or all at the same time.
You can release butterflies for a grand
opening event for your new company.
You can call out a wish for the company with
each butterfly that is released, or allow
the new management of the company to make up
their own wish and allow each person to
release their own butterfly.
A graduation party is another wonderful
event for a butterfly release
in which you would wish the
graduate well in his or her future with the
release of one butterfly for each year that
the graduate has until retirement. You
could wish that each of those years is
better than the one before it.
It doesn’t really matter what the event
is, every special event comes with some
wishes for the future of either the person
that the party is for or the business that
is throwing the party and a live butterfly
